City Centre Ajman has expanded its fashion and beauty offerings with 15 new stores that will appeal to families and millennials looking for pocket-friendly fashion brands.
As part of its ongoing AED 643 million enhancement project, which will see City Centre Ajman transform from a community centre to a regional shopping and lifestyle destination on completion this year, the mall has increased its gross leasable area from 29,000 to 55,000 sqm. International lifestyle brands such as R&B, LC Waikiki, Max, 3INA, Rituals and Mikyajy have been added to the diverse retail mix since January. Centrepoint has reopened with a redesigned customer-centric shopping environment, carrying brands such as Iconic, Bossini, Barbie, Shoe Mart, Splash, Lifestyle, and Babyshop. City Centre Ajman will also be unveiling many more fashion and homeware stores later this year.
“Our value conscious shoppers are looking for brands that bring international trends at a price point that suits every budget, without compromising on quality. With the addition of some of the most desirable brands from around the world this year, fashion and beauty stores now occupy more than 35 per cent of the gross leasable area at City Centre Ajman, making it our strongest shopping category. Families don’t need to travel far to shop at their favourite stores as they are now all closer to home,” said Fuad Mansoor Sharaf, Managing Director for Majid Al Futtaim Properties, Shopping Malls (UAE, Bahrain & Oman).
Brands that have recently made their debut in the emirate with a store at City Centre Ajman include Kashkha, which offers affordable and stylish modest fashion for women, Dutch homeware chain HEMA, and American lifestyle and performance footwear company Skechers.
Foodies in search of quirky spots with unique food concepts to enjoy with friends and family have a lot to look forward to at City Centre Ajman, as well. The iconic Indian milkshake Keventers, which comes in fun, reusable, glass milk bottles, launched its first outlet in the city and is already a hit for ‘Instagrammers’. The much-loved American bakery chain Big Apple Bagels has also made its first foray into Ajman with a chic dine-in café at the mall.
City Centre Ajman has also enhanced convenience for shoppers by opening four entrances, with the latest being on the East side of the mall. This will allow shoppers to conveniently access the mall from key roads in the city. The carpark has been expanded with an additional 1,100 spaces since January, taking it up to 3,300 parking spots on two levels. The mall has also opened taxi pick-up and drop-off zones at the North and South entrances for easy access to the anchor stores.
